Janet Corpus

Rev. Janet Corpus is senior advisor to the president at Gravestar, Inc., a private asset management company. She is a long-time Bread for the World member. A retired ELCA pastor, she formerly served as assistant to the Bishop of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the ELCA, chaired the ELCA Commission for Women, and led a task force to develop the ELCA social statement on economic life. She helped set up and staffed Farm Aid, and has organized community food pantries. Corpus has taught urban planning and economic development at several universities. She holds degrees from Brandeis University, Harvard University, the University of California at Berkeley, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Andover-Newton Theological Seminary. She is Lutheran.
