Almighty God from whom all security flows, we thank you for the peace and stability of our nation. We remember this day all those who have given their life in protection of our country.
Comfort their families and teach us better to care for our veterans—especially those who face hunger, homelessness, and poverty.
In this election season Lord we ask that you would instill the virtues of justice and righteousness in all those who seek political office. Even as we pray for those who have sacrificed to secure this country, we remember that you are our source of security.
Keep this nation under your care and guide us in the way of justice and truth.
