Rev. Jeanette Salguero is pastor at The Gathering Place, vice president of the National Latino Evangelical Coalition, and executive director of the Carrión Hispanic Leadership Center at Southeastern University in Florida. She is a powerful voice on issues that affect Latino communities in the United States, including immigration, education, and health. Salguero has consulted for the Department ofHealth & Human Services, the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services, and the American Psychological Association around minority health disparities, and with para-church organizations and denominations such as the Wesleyan Church, the Reformed Church in America, and the Church of the Nazarene on issues of multi-cultural integration. Salguero has been a Bread activist and member of Bread for the World’s Latino Advisory Board. Salguero earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and completed graduate work in Organizational Management from the City University of New York and in Theology from New York Theological Seminary.
