Bio:
Jason Fileta is Associate Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at George Fox University. He is also editor and contributing author of Live Justly and founder of Lion and Lamb Publishing, which donates 50% of all profits to organizations advocating for justice.
Fileta was previously vice president at Tearfund USA, which provides training, granting and technical assistance to churches and communities working to overcome poverty and injustice. He was director of Micah Challenge USA, a Christian movement to end extreme poverty that mobilizes people to challenge attitudes, behaviors and policies that perpetuate injustice. He co-founded and served as the first executive director of the Micah Institute at New York Theological Seminary.
Fileta is the son of Egyptian immigrants; the plight of the persecuted church in Egypt compelled him to commit his life to fighting for a more just world. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and International Development from Calvin College. He is Evangelical. Centennial, Colorado.
