David Miner is projects chair and board member of the Indy Hunger Network, a coalition of representatives from leading anti-hunger organizations and community volunteers, all committed to addressing food insecurity in Central Indiana. He leads Bread for the World activities in Indiana, including the training of new advocates, and frequently appears in the Indy Star. He recently helmed promotion for The Working Hungry, a 30-minute documentary about hunger in Indiana. Miner is a member of Bread’s New Century Council. He leads Christian education events and spiritual retreats.
Miner has been a grassroots activist for nearly 4 decades. He was previously volunteer executive director of the Interfaith Hunger Initiative and retired from a senior executive role for Elanco animal health after 28 years with Eli Lilly.
In a previous term, Miner was Chair of Bread for the World board of directors and has also served as Chair of the Alliance to End Hunger board. Miner is Christian Church (Disciples). Indianapolis, Indiana.
