Bio:

The Rt. Reverend Jeffrey N. Leath is the 128th Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, elected in 2008. He is assigned to serve the Sixteenth Episcopal District (Caribbean, Europe, South America).

Leath previously served in the Urban and Ecumenical Affairs Office, where he was also the Chaplain Endorser, and the 19th Episcopal District (Republican of South Africa). As parish pastor he served churches in New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, including fifteen years as pastor of Mother Bethel Church.

Leath is a graduate of Yale College. He holds a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Leath is the husband of Susan J. Leath, M.D., and the proud father of three grown children. He is African Methodist Episcopal. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
